BRIEF OF INDRORA FIELD

BRIEF OF INDRORA FIELD

Indrora oil and gas field is located in the onshore Cambay Basin in Gandhinagar District of Gujarat State, India. Indrora block is a small sized discovered onshore field having an area of 130 Sq.kms.

The Field was discovered by ONGC in 1971. ONGC drilled 10 wells for the exploration and exploitation of Kalol pay zones viz. Kalol, Cambay Shale (Indrora Pay) & Olpad out of which 5 wells were oil / gas bearing. The field was put on production from these wells and produced 75,804 barrels of oil.

The Oil Field block was awarded to SELAN Exploration Technology Limited under Pre NELP round, a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) was signed between Govt. of India (GoI) and SELAN in March 1995. SELAN is having the 100% ownership as an Operator in Indrora Field.

Selan has actively developing this field since 1995 including acquisition and interpretation of 3-D seismic data and drilling of 6 wells. The additional data and interpretations estimates the discovered Oil In-Place (IOIP) is 52.3 MMstb.

As on March 2017, there are 10 producing wells in the Bakrol Field and daily total production is about 50 barrels and 400 SCM of oil and gas per day respectively. Indrora Field has produced nearly 0.21 MMbbls of crude oil and 0.87 MMscm of associated natural gas cumulatively after commencement of operations post taking over the block from ONGC in October 1995.
